Celebrating Share the Gift

Gift - Share the Gift

Thank you to all Share the Gift Providers

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all who participated in Share the Gift 2011. We shouted the need for those in our community and Kingsway answered loud and clear.

Through Share the Gift 2011, we were able to meet the needs of 108 families who might not have had a Christmas without your efforts. There were 67 life groups and 51 families and individuals who shared the love of Christ. We were able to more than double the number of families that were helped in 2010. It would not have been possible without you. Thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. All glory to God!

Below are some of the testimonials from Share the Gift:

  • My family and I walked away with the true Christmas spirit in our hearts. Our group was the hands and feet of Jesus that night. We knew of a need and we filled it. -- Tricia Fontaine
  • When I first signed our family up to participate in Share the Gift, I wanted to take a hands-off approach ... I didn't want to get personally involved. God had other plans. -- Julie Ritter
  • The father of the family was suddenly killed in a motor cycle accident this summer ... We combined our resources and purchased presents for all four kids and gift cards for the adults. We also signed up for various food items. -- Carol Gillespie
  •  I assured her that our group was just as excited in sharing with her. As we made several trips to the car she kept saying, "I just don't believe this!" -- Joyce Robbins
  •  Physically, we were able to give this family a Christmas tree, multiple gifts for their children, and financial assistance with outstanding bills. Spiritually, we were able to pray with them during both deliveries and show them the love of Jesus. The kids were appreciative and the mother was brought to tears. -- Kevin Beswick
  •  We made sure they knew the gift was from followers of Christ who loved them. They posted their appreciation on Facebook. They also gave testimony with our group, praising God for his provision. -- Scott Lee
  •  The foster mom had the kids write thank you letters to us, and they helped carry in the food ... I hope it was a blessing to the special needs kids living there. -- Sarah Mereday
  •  It was fun to be a part of such a generous life group. Because of how much we all raised, we were able to provide for three children and both parents, as well as offer assistance in getting food for Christmas. -- April Bordeau
  •  It is a testimony that even with the financial restrictions that some families face during this season, there is still room for generosity (at any level) when we realize who is the giver and provider of all things. -- Cheryl Griffith
