Momentum
Momentum: A 5th- & 6th-Grade Worship Experience
Sundays at 9:15 and 11 a.m. in E201-A&B
All 5th and 6th graders are welcomed to join us at this weekly worship experience totally designed with students in mind. As soon as students enter the room, it will be engaging, interactive and fun. After a few minutes of a group activity, they will head into a time of large group worship and teaching. To close out each week, students will meet up with their Life Group for a chance to catch up on life and discuss what they've learned.
Please commit to one service... either the 9:15 or 11 a.m.
We ask that students commit to attending at either the 9:15 or 11 a.m. service so that we can best plug them into a Life Group. Life Groups are made up of one to two adults and one to two teen leaders who are the same gender as the seven to ten students who are in their group. We have high expectations of our leaders who will spend time investing in the lives of their students. They will best be able to serve your student and your family if you commit to consistently bringing your student to the same hour of programming each week. Not only will students better connect with their leaders, but they will also develop deeper releationships among the students in their group.
What if our family attends more than one service at Kingsway?
Since we offer the same 5th- and 6th-grade service at both hours, we ask that students attend Momentum one hour and join their family at the main worship service during the other hour. This will give your family a chance to worship together while also allowing parents an opportuity to attend an adult Bible class or serve. If your student is interested in serving during the hour that he/she is not at Momentum, then please contact who can tell you more about opportunities for 5th-6th graders to serve in the Kids Ministry.
What are my kids learning about?
All our lessons strive to teach students three basic truths based upon Luke 2:52:
I need to make the wise choice.
I can trust God no matter what.
I should treat others the way I want to be treated.
The basic truths found above are amplified by a weekly key concept and lesson which is based on a monthly core virtue and memory verse.
