Personal Worship

Personal Worship Man Reading"Worship is our response to what we value most," (Louie Giglio).

Everybody worships something. And a sure sign of what we value most is seen in how we spend our time, energy, money, and loyalty. As followers of Christ we seek to lead a lifestyle of worship that points people toward a relationship with Christ. Worship is a part of our everyday lives, not just something that happens in an auditorium on a weekend. While attendance at worship services is a good first step toward a lifestyle of worship, it is just that – a step.

This is what the Bible says:

And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect, (Romans 12:1-2, NLT).

It does nothing for us to go to church and remain unchanged. Jesus longs to see us transformed, to become more like him.
